“It’s normal to be depressed and angry about the situation. I think seeking help is very important, and as I’ve lived with PV for many years, I now suggest to new patients that I’m talking to, to look at the journey from the long haul, almost like a pilot looking down on the earth below. Try not to live in the moment, but realize that if you’re just diagnosed, it’s difficult. But, things can get better once you get started on the right treatment plan, and try to look at the bigger picture. A brighter future can very well be ahead”
