Patients are Asking - MPN Expert Dr. Andrew Kuykendall
Episode 2 of 3
Update on MPN Clinical Trials in 2021. The PDUFA date is the end of the review period, where the FDA has to make a decision or respond to a New Drug Application (NDA) or a Biologics License Application (BLA). Ropeginterferon and Pacritinib both have PDUFA dates in November 2021.
How do you evaluate a patient's disease? How and when do you approach the clinical trial topic with patients? If I participate in a clinical trial will a bone marrow biopsy be required? Are clinical trials a last resort? Are MPNs a cancer / leukemia?
Dr. Andrew Kuykendall, Assistant Member in the Department of Malignant Hematology at Moffitt Cancer Center is our MPN specialist answering these questions and more. Ruth Fein is our host and patient advocate.
