Living with a myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) can be emotionally and physically challenging, but individuals who bring hope, compassion and strength to the MPN community lessen this burden.
The MPN community is rich with individuals who go to extraordinary lengths to make a meaningful difference—patients whose unwavering strength is an inspiration, caregivers who consistently offer support and reassurance, health care professionals who are committed to providing exceptional care, organizations or advocacy groups dedicated to improving MPN care and support—and they deserve to be honored.
Since 2013, the MPN Heroes® Recognition Program has honored individuals and organizations that have dedicated themselves to improving the lives of people with MPNs. The goal of the program is to create opportunities for people living with MPNs to be heard and supported, and to enhance connections within the greater MPN community.
Individuals, institutions, and organizations that demonstrate extraordinary effort in their commitment to support patients with MPNs can be nominated in one of two categories: commitment to the individual or commitment to the broader MPN community. Each year, up to eight recipients are selected for recognition by an independent judging panel of MPN advocates, patients, caregivers, and health care professionals. Recipients in both categories will receive an award recognizing their dedication to individual care.
Do you know someone or an organization that routinely goes “above and beyond” to make a difference for someone living with an MPN? Nominate your heroes for the MPN Heroes® Recognition Program by September 11!
